A New Perspective

We typically put the critter cam a foot or two above the ground. Lately, we've had an outflow pipe connected to the fountain part of the pond that is right in the field of view of the critter cam. To get around that, I put the critter cam in front of the pipe and on a stepping stone over the pond. I loosely connected it to the pipe and hoped that no large animal would knock it free. None did. Today I retrieved the photos. There are just a few.

"What's that?", says the Stellar jay who has never seen a camera.

"Can I get a copy of this photo for my Facebook page?"

"Don't event think of publishing this photo. I'm not supposed to be out this late!"

"Ribbit!"

"Here Kitty, Kitty." This mountain lion visited about 5 minutes after we went to bed.

There were several frames of this unidentified object. The camera is NOT facing toward the sun. What kind of critter has this sort of heat signature?
