Every year, around mid-November, the turkeys who frequent our property disappear until the next year. I always thought this behavior was linked to Thanksgiving, but it's unlikely because I've never told the turkeys the truth about Thanksgiving.

This year they may have disappeared sooner. I haven't seen them in a few weeks. The last time the Critter Cam recorded them was on September 19. Where the six young males have gone is a mystery.
The image is from last year when I spotted a rare sight--a turkey in the tree on our front lawn. I assume they roost in trees at night, but his one flew up during the day.
