I walked into the bathroom in the cabin and was greeted by a scorpion. I place a glass over it and then fetched Glen to escort the critter outside. He put the insect on a stone near the pond, told me it was dead, and suggested I photograph it. I had a wide angle lens with me, so I used that.

Then I went back to the cabin to get a telephoto. When I returned, the "dead" insect had flipped inself over. Not so dead after all. I even moved its tail at me while taking its photo. After the photo session, Glen move the critter deeper into the woods.
