Holiday Carbon Dioxide

December 25 was a day of cooking turkey and all the trimmings. It was also a cold day, so the wood stove was helping to keep the house warmth.  At the height of the cooking, I checked the CO2 level and noticed it as over 1400 ppm. The house felt stuffy and I felt sleepy.

I opened all the doors to let in the 38-degree air and freshen up the house. As you can see, there was a dramatic drop. It felt great inside and the overall inside temperature only dropped by 2 degrees.
