I looked out my cabin window today and saw a large flock of robins on the back field, foraging for food. In the past, I recall seeing them in January, but perhaps they were also here in December but I didn't notice them. I read that not all robins migrate. Sometimes they even choose to stay in a cold climate. Perhaps the snow in Washington State encouraged some of them to fly south. I'll need to keep an eye out to see if they are truly passing through or have decided that the back field is food heaven.
