I was sitting in the house reading when I heard some strange noises on the front porch. When I investigated, I found two toms fighting. They were going chest to chest and beak to beak. They strutted on the porched and danced down to the dirt. They may look as if they are dancing, but this is fighting.
They pushed each other around for quite awhile. Later in the day, they returned but stayed away from each other. One of the males displayed a full set of tail feathers and the other had at least half missing. The fight must have gotten quite vicious after I saw them.
