We just hiked up to the two breaches in our road and took some photos. The first one is the “minor” road problem that is one mile from our house. The hillside slipped away but there was one lane left. It turned out to be pretty major because they essentially had to build this “bridge” after cutting back the hillside (which I stood on for the photo).
The second one is the major breach that was a quarter mile deep and a football field wide. They removed lots of trees can cut back into the forest as well as filling in a lot of the hole. as you can see they have a lot of filling still left to do before it reaching the road level. They have to get to the top of the black wall.
